What is behind Paul smile - SCENARIO:
Bruce and Paul are coworkers from a law firm called Robertson & Johnson Law Firm. Bruce is one of the top attorneys for family law. He has been an attorney over 8 years. Bruce is married to a beautiful wife and has two wonderful children Kayle and Bruce Jr. Bruce met Paul when he applied to be an attorney for criminal law at the same law firm that Bruce is employed. Paul is a single man who has no children and he is very passionate about his job. They both are in different fields in law but they becomes great friends.
One day at work, Bruce is on break, he wants to speak with his wife. He calls his wife but didn't get an answer. It was strange that his wife didn't answer, she never misses his calls. He repeatedly keeps calling his wife on her cell phone and the home phone. Bruce is getting worried so he decides to let his partner know that he is going to check on his wife. When Bruce arrives he sees another car in the driveway. As he is looking, he notices it is Paul. Bruce parks his car and gets out of the car. Bruce runs up to his home and looks in the windows to see if could see anything and he sees nothing. He walks to the door, unlock the door and walks in. Bruce shuts the door behind him, walks around the home and he keeps calling his wife name but no answer. Bruce hears voices in the den and he quietly walks to the den. When he peeps around the corner he sees Paul sitting next to his wife. Bruce is very furious, his face and eyes turns completely red. Bruce cannot take it anymore and runs in the den screaming, "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?" Paul is shocked that Bruce is home. Paul starts to smile and says, "Buddy, calm down Bruce, there is nothing going on." You know me. I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize our friendship." Bruce replies back, "Why are you here with my wife? We are supposed to be friends. You should not be here, if I'm not here." Bruce is staring at his wife and his wife looks down without saying a word. Paul laughs, "Are you serious? Do you really think, I would be with your wife?" Bruce's wife tells him that she is sorry and then runs in their bedroom and closes the door. Bruce yells, "SORRY..SORRY..SORRY FOR WHAT PAUL !" Paul looks clueless and says with a smirk, "Man, I don't know what she is talking about." Bruce is so angry that he slams his fist on a coffee table. Bruce tells Paul, "I knew you wanted my wife. You have been wanting her for years. You smile in my face like we are friends and I thought you were a friend to me. I thought we were brothers but the whole time you wanted something from me and that is my wife." Bruce continues talking and then yells, PAUL, GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HOME AND DON'T YOU EVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN." Paul couldn't say a word all he did is smile. Paul walks out of the home and gets in his car and drives away.
The following day Bruce sees Paul in the hallway. Paul tries to speak to Bruce but Bruce totally ignores Paul. For months Paul was trying to be friends again. Bruce makes a decision to relocate with his family and transfer to another law firm 45 minutes away from his previous employment. Bruce feels like he made the right decision for his family and himself. Paul has not contacted Bruce anymore.
