April learns from her mistake -SCENARIO:
April is in the 9th grade and she hangs around a group of girls that is a bit rough around the edges. She likes being around the group of girls because they are the cool kids. Every day is school April goes to lunch and have breaks with the group of girls. This is so cool for April to be around them all the time.
Then one morning on break the group of girls decides that they wants to skip school that day. April is kind of hesitant because she knows if she leaves school, she will get in trouble by her parents. April makes a quick decision to go with the group of girls. They all runs to the store nearby and they are having fun laughing and talking. Once they are in front of the store, they walks into the store and one of the girls tells April, "Hey wouldn't it be cool if you steal that box of candy for us." April looks at the box of candy and asks the girl, "Why me? Why can't you do it?" The girl is getting upset with April and replies back, "Because I asked you. And if you don't get the candy you are out of the group." April looks at the candy box again and says, "Okay..Okay, I will do it." The girl smiles and tells the other girls that April is getting the candy and they all walked out the store except April. April is so nervous she starts to sweat. The store clerk is getting suspicious about the group of girls and starts to watch April in the cameras and notices the girls is waiting for her. April didn't notices that she is being watched, she is so focus on the candy box. The store clerk immediately calls the police. As the store clerk is calling the police April picks up the candy box and put it in her shirt. She tries to walk out but the store clerk stops her immediately. April looks outside and she sees the group of girls running and then sees the police pulling in front of the store. April knows she is caught and she made a huge mistake. The store clerk tells her to take the candy out of her shirt. April pulls the candy box out her shirt, as she is taking the candy box out of her shirt she sees the policeman walking in the store. The policeman arrests April and takes her downtown to the police station. April feels really bad for what she has done because she never had been in trouble before. The policeman gives April a chance to call her parents so she can be release. April is so terrified to call her parents she hesitates before making her call. She is dailing her parents home phone very slowly. Finally she punches the last number and immediately the phone rings. "Hello..Hello," says her mother. April says softly, "Hey Ma, its April." "April, why are you talking so low? Is everything ok in school? says her mother. April replies back, "Ma, don't get upset with me...please... I am at the police station downtown..and I need you to come get me." "Oh My God! April what happened?" says her mother very emotional. "Ma, I have to get off the phone. Can you please come get me?" says April. Aprils hangs up the phone and waits for her mother. As soon as April's mother hangs up the phone with April she quickly calls April's father at work and tells him what is going on. April's father is very upset but he cannot leave work because it will take him 2 hours to get home. April's mother hangs up the phone with April's father and heads downtown to get April. When she arrives at the police station her mother is shaking and crying. The policeman tells her mother what has happened and her mother becomes very upset with April. The policeman releases April to her mother and as they is driving home April's mother did not say a word to April. When they arrived at home and walked in April's mother asks her, "Why? April" April put her head down and then looks at her mother and says, "Ma, I am super sorry. Its my friends they asked me to do it. They told me that I can't be in there group if I don't do it." "Friends what kind of friends do you have. They ran and left you there. And you call them friends," says her mother. April replies back, "I made one of the worst mistake, my life is over." Yes, you did April. You made a mistake but you have to learn from them so you want do it again. Now go to your room" says her mother. April is so upset with herself, she knew it wasn't right to steal.
The next couple of days April didn't go to school because she had to go to court. The following day after her final court date she went to school. She sees the group of girls and they run up to her. One girl asks April, "Where have you been?" April really didn't say anything. They all went to class then on their morning break, they all are talking and laughing except for April. One of the girls thought it would be a good idea to skip school again. They all agrees but April. The main girl of the group of girls Tiffany tells April, "If you don't skip with us, you are not in our group." April smiles and says, "I really don't care about your group. You are not friends anyway. I refuse to make that mistake again. I will not get in trouble for you again. You all left me so I decline your friendship. I don't want to be friends anymore." April walks away with a huge smile. April never hung out with the group of girls again.
