Katherine Can't Find Happiness
MONEY CAN BUY MATERIALISTIC THINGS...BUT IT CAN'T BUY HAPPINESS
Katherine Is Looking For Happiness Like Her Friend Dora…
SCENARIO:
Katherine is a 37-year-old multimillionaire who lives in a mansion alone and has a very creative single life. She dates multiple men to find her happiness. Every man, Katherine dates, receives a car, clothes, jewelry, and so much more. She feels that if she gives them things, they will stay with her and she will find what she is looking for, happiness. Unfortunately, that is not the case at all. They will take and leave Katherine alone. Every man she dated says that Katherine is very demanding, inconsiderate, selfish, and flaunts her money around all the time. Therefore, Katherine has a friend named Dora who is not as fortunate as Katherine. Dora lives in an average home with her husband, who works for a construction company. Her husband makes perfect money for his family. Dora has one child, a six months baby boy, and she is a stay-at-home mom.
One day Katherine and Dora, with Dora's baby boy, went to lunch at a restaurant called "Expensive." When Dora and her baby got to the restaurant, she knew she couldn't afford to pay for lunch. The restaurant looked very expensive. She decided to walk into the restaurant anyway. As she walks into the restaurant holding her baby, she sees Katherine waving at her to come to the table. Dora walked to the table and sat her baby in her lap. Dora looked around the restaurant and saw that everyone in the restaurant looked very well dressed and looked very expensive. She didn't have the clothes, money, or jewelry they had.
Dora says, "Katherine, why did you ask me to come here? You know, I can't afford this." Katherine replied, "Well, I thought your husband was bringing in enough money for you to be able to live your life to the fullest." Dora shook her head. "Are you serious? My husband brings enough money home to make sure his family is well taken care of," says Dora. "Well, maybe you need to find another husband that can afford for you to have expensive things in life and to be happy," says Katherine. Before Dora could say anything, her baby started to cry.
Dora gave the baby a bottle and said, "Look, I am the most happiest person in the world. I have a beautiful baby boy, a great husband who loves me, my son, and a great father. He provides for us in all ways possible. He loves us, and we have fun together. We laugh and live our life the way we want to live. I am sorry that you do not have all of this. Money can't buy happiness. I will rather be broke than to have your money." Dora gets up from her seat, puts her baby in her arms, and walks out. Katherine is stunned. She can't believe that Dora said that to her. Katherine looked around to make sure no one was watching, and she slowly got up from her seat and walked out of the restaurant.
The next day Katherine was thinking about what Dora had said to her. She realized that she had been buying men to find her happiness and using her money to make herself feel important. Katherine wanted a life like Dora. She wanted a man to love her, not use her because she had money. Katherine has been unhappy for a long time, and many times Katherine tried to find true love and happiness. She decided to call Dora. As soon as Katherine picked up the phone, Katherine heard a knock on the door, and it was Dora. She welcomed Dora into her home. Katherine started crying and apologizing to Dora. "I am so sorry, Dora. I know, I was wrong, and I don't want to lose our friendship. I would love a husband like yours. You may not have all the money in the world, but you are happy with the money you have and the happiness you have. I want that," says Katherine. Dora gave Katherine a humongous hug and replied, "I am not upset with you, and I accept your apology, but you have to learn how to stop flaunting your money around to find that special person in your life. By the way, I am having dinner tonight, and I would love for you to come over. We will be having a few of our friends over. Will you come?" "YES, I will go," says Katherine.
Later on that night, Katherine got dressed and drove over to Dora's house. When she gets out of her car, she sees a gentleman standing beside Dora. She walks over to Dora and the gentleman. Dora introduces Katherine to the gentleman and Dora immediately walks away, leaving Katherine standing beside the gentleman. Katherine was nervous but kept calm. "Again, it was a pleasure meeting you. Everyone calls me Drew. I don't know why Dora is the only one who calls me Andrew," says Andrew. They both started laughing. "I know what you mean because she calls me Katherine, and everyone else calls me Kathy," says Katherine. They continued to laugh and enjoy their conversation with each other. Dora notices that Andrew and Katherine are having a great time together. After dinner, Andrew invited Katherine over to his house. Katherine was kind of hesitant because she didn't know what to expect. She didn't know if he knew she had money. She asked, "do you want me to come over to your house because I have money?" Andrew looked puzzled. He replied, "Um, No, I want you to come over because we are having a very great time and a wonderful conversation. I don't care about your money. Money doesn't do anything for me. It doesn't bring you happiness." Katherine felt so bad and apologized for her actions. She decided to go with Andrew.
When she walked to Andrew's car she was surprised it was a BMW. Katherine opened the door, got into Andrew's BMW and Katherine was very confused because she didn't know why he was driving a gorgeous car. Katherine thought it was a car rental. "Nice car. Is this yours?" asks Katherine. "Yes, this car is mine," replied Andrew. He reached into the glove department and handed her his ownership of the car. She was so embarrassed. As they drove up in Andrew's driveway, she could see the beautiful home. She was amazed at how beautiful Andrew's house was with the beautiful yard. She looked over and said, “ Is this your home?" "Yes, this is my home," replies Andrew. Andrew looks at Katherine and says, "You see, Katherine, I know you are a rich woman, and I know you are looking for happiness. Well, I am a rich man, and money doesn't make me happy. I make money, so I can be fortunate to buy things I desire, but I am looking for a woman who can fulfill my needs of true love and happiness." Katherine didn't know what to say. All Katherine could do was look and smile. Andrew and Katherine opened the car door, got out of the car, walked into the home, and laughed and talked the rest of the night.
After three weeks, Katherine and Andrew became official. They are now in a relationship, a happy relationship. Katherine found out that money can't buy happiness, true love can.
TRUTH:
Love of your life means a person from whom you feel the warmest affection and gratefulness in life. You think that, without that person, your life can never be complete. A soulmate whom you love with all your heart, and you would do anything for you. You can't imagine a life or future without them.
CONCLUSION:
Money can make you happy by getting materialistic things, but money can't buy you happiness. Being comfortable with someone who loves you unconditionally is the best feeling in the world. You are already RICH. You can be happy with someone who will be there for you thru your good and bad. As for me, I would rather have someone who makes me happy than have money and be alone.
